New emerged last week that controversial former Deputy Mayor and property developer Salim Mehajer and his wife, Aysha had split, and that he had been served with an apprehended violence order.
Mehajer was adamant that the pair had not split and that the police were pursuing an AVO after neighborhood complaints. The order was filed under his wife’s maiden name, Aysha Learmonth.
The AVO, which states that he cannot go within 50m of Learmonth or have any contact with her, is in place until next month, and will mean they will not be together for their first anniversary.
Mehajer posted a bizarre photo on his Facebook account (presumably the video is old footage), showing him surprising his wife as she comes out of an elevator, with the caption, “See I ain’t scary or intimidating”.
The 30-year-old also set up a new Instagram account, posting a series of photographs, including one of the pair, taken in march.
“She is my autobiography,” he captioned the pic.
