We will never forget the time when Sex And The City’s Carrie Bradshaw was being robbed on the streets of New York City. When the robber said, “Give me your bag”, she quipped, “It’s a baguette!”

Parker, who is currently reprising her role on the popular series And Just Like That…, has gone one step further, announcing that her brand, SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker will launch a new line of Carrie-approved handbags in collaboration with British luxury brand Strathberry.
The design, called the ‘City Osette’ comes in a standard size and a mini for the low-maintenance girlies out there.
New to Strathberry’s collections, which have been favoured by both the Princess of Wales and Meghan Markle, the ‘City Osette’ is an evolution of the brand’s ‘Lana Osette’, with a more elongated body through the bucket shape and a tapering in at the top.
Created to be a go-to bag for wandering the streets of any big city, this bucket-style bag features a leather top-handle and chain strap for crossbody functionality.
It continues the brand’s legacy, with Strathberry’s signature bar and drawstring closure present in the design, allowing all of your accessories to be within easy reach, but simultaneously tucked away.
Sarah Jessica Parker told People that she is very particular when it comes to bags because she is a seasoned New Yorker, constantly hustling through the busy streets.
“Getting in and out of the bag with ease while also knowing that it’s safely secured (and looking great, of course) was of paramount importance to both the SJP and Strathberry teams,” she told the publication.
Strathberry’s co-founder, Leeanne Hundleby added, “For me and millions of others around the world, [Parker] represents the ultimate in sophistication and fantasy.
“[We wanted] to create products for the way women truly live: that consciously fashionable woman who loves the idea of a practical everyday piece to go from day to night, with flair and personality.”
Designed in Scotland and handcrafted in Spain, SJP called out the high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail in her decision to collaborate with the royal-approved bag.
The City Osette is available in two colourways, Ruby and Black, while the City Osette Mini can be purchased in ‘Lollipop’, a coral-toned pink and ‘Pearl Grey’, a muted neutral.
We can only imagine Carrie Bradshaw sauntering into a date with Aiden Shaw (yes, he has been announced as a cast member on season two of And Just Like That) with this little coral bag in tow.
The larger bags retail for USD $455 (approx. AUD $655), while the mini bags retail for $295 (approx. AUD $425).
