As we know, filming for the Sex And The City Reboot titled And Just Like That… is well underway. While eagle-eyed fans have been quick to spot the cast out and about in New York City, little has been known about the plot, until now.
According to Page Six who obtained a leaked script, Carrie and Mr. Big’s love story has come to an unfortunate end, with the pair navigating a bitter divorce. It is believed that Carrie, now in her 50s and hosting her own podcast, is dealing with the fallout of a huge relationship breakdown. It’s a life event that is all too familiar to many, and is certain to resonate with viewers around the world.
In the scene obtained by Page Six, Carrie is heard lamenting over the divorce to her friends Charlotte, Miranda and Stanford.
“I was taping the podcast, I was washing my hair. Yes, I wasn’t eating or sleeping, but at least I felt good about my marriage. Now I’m just one of the wives he was taking care of?”
Carrie and Big finally tied the knot at the end of the first Sex And The City movie, after he famously leaves her at the altar on their big day. It was an ending that many fans were excited about, given how much their on-again-off-again romance defined the entire SATC series.
While the pair seemed to get their happy ending, drama surfaced yet again during the second film, when Carrie shares a kiss with her ex-boyfriend Aidan on a trip to Abu Dhabi. When she confessed the wrongdoing to Mr. Big, he gifted her an extravagant diamond ring to reconfirm his commitment to her.
