NikeSKIMS takes centre stage with balletcore for Spring 2026, reframing activewear through the visual language of dance.
It is less about pirouettes than the aesthetics of movement: wrap layers, softened silhouettes, and the disciplined elegance that has long given fashion its pas de deux with ballet.
Fronted by Blackpink’s LISA, the campaign centres fluid motion, placing the pieces in movement rather than presenting them as static, styled propositions.
To say we’re excited would be an understatement. Luckily, the collection lands in Australia tomorrow at 9am, so set your alarms accordingly.
The palette draws on SKIMS’s signature neutrals. Ballerina pink, black, grey and brown establish a tonal register that feels restrained, refined and wearable. Across five material categories — Matte, Stretch Knit, Ribbed Seamless, Weightless Layers and Woven Nylon — the collection moves from sculpting foundations to relaxed outer layers designed for lived-in ease.
Wrap tops, bolero-style layers and streamlined leggings set the tone, joined by leotard-inspired silhouettes that feel firmly studio-appropriate.
As with previous drops, the range is modular by design, intended to be mixed and reassembled to suit the demands of the day, whether that skews toward training or real life.
Spring 2026 also marks NikeSKIMS’s first full head-to-toe system of dress. Where Nike brings its expertise in moisture-wicking fabrics and engineered stretch, SKIMS introduces a more streamlined, design-forward sensibility, refining performance staples into pieces that feel deliberate rather than purely utilitarian.
A personal favourite is the footwear, which extends the proposition further via the NikeSKIMS Rift Satin, a reworking of Nike’s split-toe Rift sneakerina in satin with a ballet-inspired strap.
The pointe-shoe reference is legible but restrained, landing as a considered nod to dance’s long relationship with fashion rather than costume. It completes the collection’s head-to-toe logic without tipping into novelty.
The NikeSKIMS Spring 2026 collection launches globally on 5 February, with Australia following on 6 February, and will be available to shop at Nike, SKIMS and Style Runner Bondi Beach.
