How To Add This Under-$50 Blazer To Your Work Rotation

Cheap and chic

Classic pieces don’t always have to be expensive. For staples like T-shirts, jeans and even jackets, high street stores do it well. Really well. So when we spotted this $49 Target blazer it was love at first sight.

A classic checkered blazer, the simple piece is a serious workwear staple. It can be layered over jumpers, skivvies, T-shirts and even placed under heavier coats when the weather cools down; and matched with cropped pants or a skirt suit, it won’t look out of place in even the most corporate of offices.

As with most bargain Target finds, the look is best paired with some of your more elevated pieces. A great quality cashmere knit, classic pants and a pair of new season boots will elevate the blazer, and mixing natural fabrics like wool and leather will offset the synthetic nature of the piece. Add to that your perfect mini bag and it’s as on-trend as you’re going to get this season. Below, shop the blazer and our favourite pieces to pair it with.
