Netflix’s Rom-Com ‘The Kissing Booth’ Is Officially Coming Back For A Third Movie

In fact, it's already been filmed

Get ready rom-com lovers! Just three days after The Kissing Booth 2 premiered on Netflix, the cast announced in a Live YouTube event that The Kissing Booth 3 will be hitting our screens in 2021. “It’s true!” Joey King announced. “It’s because of everyone on here that this all happened.”

And in truly surprising news, the third film has already been completed when the cast was filming its second instalment in South Africa.

“It was the hardest secret to keep,” Joel Courtney said.

Directed once again by Vince Marcello, the third film is based on The Kissing Booth books by Beth Reckles. Joey King will return as star and executive producer, along with cast members Joel Courtney, Jacob Elordi, Taylor Zakhar Perez, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Meganne Young and Molly Ringwald.

The movies centre on a high school student (King), who falls in love with her best friend’s older brother (Elordi). The third film will continue to follow their unlikely relationship and picks up after the events of the second movie — a cliffhanger that leaves King’s character grappling with where to attend college.

In the newly released trailer for its third film, Elle receives a call from Harvard’s administration office – only to decline it.
