When Netflix dropped British psychological drama, Anatomy of a Scandal, everyone was hooked for two reasons: The gripping storyline, and the wardrobe.
You don’t need to ponder why for long—Sienna Miller, who plays the wife of a disgraced politician Sophie Whitehouse, epitomised the winter aesthetic of our dreams. It paid homage to the very brand of London style, the reason why it became one of the worlds fashion capitals, and despite the fact that its viewers stemmed far thousands of kilometres beyond the UK, we all wanted a piece of it.
From soft turtleneck knits, autumnal tones and, of course, those perfectly tailored winter coats, the wardrobe is easily replicated if you shop around enough. And given that Australia is headed into the cooler months, there’s no better time to invest in a coat like Sophie’s.

The first coat on our list is Sophie’s camel wrap coat, which was seen in some of the first stills released from the series. It must have been a sign of things to come—the coat is every bit as chic as it looks on film, and its the perfect companion for corporate wear, smart-casual dressing, evening outfits and beyond.

Sophie’s burgundy collarless coat was also a standout on the show. It’s simple, chic and the perfect piece of outerwear to make a statement.
According to Shop Your TV, the coat in question is from Moda Operandi, called the Ulla Johnson Gwyneth Coat. Unsurprisingly, this specific style has sold out, but we found this AMI Paris coat which has the same look and feel.

Finally, Sophie’s camel cape coat deserves an acknowledgement. The versatile cape silhouette has circled back into the fashion agenda after doing the rounds in the early 2010s, and Sophie’s Stella McCartney style, named the Brindabella Cape Coat, is undoubtedly one of the best on the market.
