Mary Fowler Is L’Oréal Paris’ Newest Brand Ambassador

She’s kicking goals on and off the field.

When the FIFA Women’s World was played in August last year, green-and-gold fever swiftly took hold of Australia. Not only did the Matildas roar all the way through to the semi-finals (making them the first Australian team to do so in the World Cup), they also captured the hearts of the nation along the way, with millions of people tuning in to each game.

One of the stand out players whose star shone brightly? 21-year-old Mary Fowler, who despite being the youngest person on the Matildas squad, was applauded for her athletic prowess and professionalism, both on and off the field.

There’s just something about Mary – and that’s why iconic beauty brand L’Oréal Paris is proud to announce the star forward as its newest brand ambassador.

L’Oréal Paris global ambassadors are chosen for not only being at the top of their game, but for also lifting up other women around them. By partnering with Mary, L’Oréal Paris hopes to encourage other young women to back themselves in and chase their dreams.

Growing up in Cairns, North Queensland, to an Irish father and a Papua New Guinean mother, Mary has been dedicated to her craft from a young age and was even called up for the Matildas squad at the 2019 World Cup when she was just 16 years old. Unfortunately, a hamstring injury prevented her from making her tournament debut that year, however, she didn’t let the experience hold her back. Four years later, it was her time to shine – and boy, did she shine.

While this might be Mary’s first official ambassadorship with a major beauty brand, you wouldn’t know it as she seems so at ease in front of the camera, sporting a classic French girl red lip and slicked-back bun.

The sporting star’s go-to product by L’Oréal Paris? The Revitalift 12% Pure Vitamin C Serum. “I’ve non-stop been using the vitamin C serum ever since I tried it at my L’Oréal Paris ambassador shoot! It’s literally a favourite of mine because it makes my skin feel so soft and smooth. It’s [become] a must-have in my daily skincare routine.”

For Mary’s debut shoot with L’Oréal Paris, the Matildas star’s skin has been prepped using both the Revitalift 12% Pure Vitamin C Serum and Revitalift 1.5% Hyaluronic Serum. A few coats of New Panorama Mascara gives her lashes some extra definition, while Matte Resistance Liquid Lipstick in shade 430 A-Lister offers a long-lasting matte shade of va-va-voom red. Mary’s hair has been washed and styled using the reparative Bond Repair Haircare Range for added hydration and strength.

Over the coming months, keep your eyes peeled for more from this exciting new partnership between L’Oréal Paris and Mary. We have a feeling this sporting superstar is just getting started.
