With its towering stained-glass ceiling by Leonard French, the Great Hall at NGV is one of the city’s most breathtaking backdrops for an upscale wedding celebration.

Such grandeur does come with a price tag to match and there’s a minimum catering spend of $36,200 for a wedding in the Great Hall. The venue hire fee for a Saturday wedding is $6100 but varies on other days of the week.

With views over the sculpture and landscaping of the Grollo Equiset Garden and bathed in natural light, the cultural institution’s Garden Restaurant is also a serene spot for a wedding reception.

The Garden Restaurant has a minimum catering spend of $14,800 and a venue hire of around $2,750 depending on the day.
