It’s been a long torturous wait for season two of Netflix hit, Wednesday, but that’s on brand for the macabre series, no? After two-and-a-half years, the Addams family is finally back and we now have the first look at the Wednesday season two trailer.
Moreover, fans have also been treated to the first six minutes of the new season, which was released by the streaming site last month. So don’t say the Netflix powers that be don’t give us anything…
Wednesday Season Two Trailer
There’s a lot to unpack from the two-minute trailer; Wednesday is grappling with being a reluctant hero to her fellow peers, we learn her best friend Enid’s life is hanging in the balance courtesy of a terrifying premonition and there’s endless Tim Winton-style excitement and drama.
What we can’t get over is the reveal that Enid may die… but not if Wednesday has anything to do with it.

As mentioned, fans are also treated to the first scenes of Wednesday season two, which open with the level of delightful grim we’ve come to expect from the show.
“It’s been an event summer,” we hear Wednesday say as the screen opens to the gothic schoolgirl tied up and gagged in a dark room.
“I’m tied up in a serial killer’s basement. Who said nightmares don’t come true?”
We learn Wednesday has spent her summer honing her psychic abilities to help her hunt down a lifelong obsession: a serial killer called the Kansas city scalper.
This tidbit of information would also make sense in relation to the Wednesday season two trailer as we learn our antagonist is haunted by a vision of Enid’s death and embarks on a journey to alter the future.

Wednesday Season Two Plot
The official synopsis for season two reads: “Much to Wednesday’s utter horror (and not the kind that she enjoys), the line between her school and family lives doesn’t just get blurred in her second year at Nevermore Academy … it gets hacked to pieces.”
So, expect much more of the extended Addams family as we head into the new season starting with Wednesday’s brother Pugsley arriving on campus, as well as her parents having reason to be on the grounds and even Morticia’s mum, Hester Frump, turns up.
