Add to cart, ASAP.

For the first time in its 55-year history, Australian fashion brand Cue has hit the runway at Afterpay Australian Fashion Week.

It’s the first stand-alone presentation from the brand, which remains Australian-owned and predominately Australian made, designed to reintroduce the staple label of many women’s wardrobes to a new generation.

Show 01 featured unexpected and never-before-seen twists on clean silhouettes—think bright colours, bold cut-outs and intriguing textures—all underpinned by classic, black styles in a myriad of fabrications for ultimate wearability.

Featuring some of the most recognisable faces in Australian fashion—Gemma Ward, Jessica Gomes, Victoria Lee and Montana Cox were among those walking the runway— the show was a celebration of the place where daring glamour and raw grunge meet.

The best part? There’s no need to wait weeks until the collection hits the shelves, with the first arrival of looks available to purchase online right now.

Here are five pieces we’re “adding to cart” ASAP.

One of the breakout trends of 2023, skin is definitely in.

Dare to bare in this mesh maxi, made from Japanese glitter mesh. The black, slip-on dress is ultra-wearable—either on its own over a simple black underwear set or layered over a slip dress for a modern and playful nighttime look.

The Dressed-Up Biker Jacket

A modern twist on the biker jacket, this cropped version is made from a smooth double weave-bi-stretch, making it ultra-wearable at the office, or for a night out.

Loose-fitting and long-sleeved, it has traditional zipper and pocket detailing, with a modern, midriff-baring silhouette.

The New ‘Going Out’ Top

Combining two wardrobe staples—the ‘going out’ top and the asymmetrical piece—this strapless bandeau is crafted from a lustrous velveteen fabric.

Pair with denim for a laidback, daytime look (add a coat for those chillier days) or pair with a slimline, tuxedo-style pant for an elegant evening outfit.

The Coat To Outshine The Rest

Coating doesn’t have to be boring, and this midi-style cocoon coat ticks all the boxes. Made from a luxurious, drapey satin, it’s an edgy twist on the sleepwear-as-daywear trend that’s sweeping the fashion style set.

For the ultimate in drapey dressing, pair with matching wide-leg pants, or layer over your winter essentials for a dreamy, yet cosy, look.

The Little Black Dress…With A Twist
