Charles Leclerc’s Monaco Wedding To Alexandra Leclerc Was Only Part One

A fairy tale affair in Monaco

If you thought Monaco had already delivered its wedding of the decade, think again.

Charles Leclerc and Alexandra Leclerc (née Saint Mleux) have confirmed that their February 28 civil ceremony was only part one. A larger celebration with family and friends is slated for 2027, meaning this Riviera romance is far from its final lap.

Still, if this was merely the prelude, it was an exceptionally chic one.

Staged in Monaco, the civil ceremony came complete with a rare 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, the Mediterranean glittering in the background, and a custom couture gown by Australian designer Paolo Sebastian.

The couple shared cinematic glimpses of the day via Instagram: a fever dream rendered in ivory and cream and armfuls of lush lilies. In one sweet clip, Charles slips a wedding band onto 23-year-old Alexandra’s finger before leaning in for a kiss. In another, the newlyweds glide through Monaco’s narrow streets in the vintage red Ferrari, equal parts newly married and impossibly cool.

For the ceremony, Alexandra’s custom Paolo Sebastian gown featured a softly scalloped, off-the-shoulder neckline, offset by long lace sleeves and a sculpted bodice that unfurled into a cathedral train.

French Chantilly lace enveloped the entire silhouette, turning sheer across the sleeves and intricately embroidered with delicate butterflies and fairy-like motifs. A line of near-invisible buttons traced the back, stopping just above a tulle-lined bustle.

She skipped a traditional veil, instead pinning sprigs of baby’s breath into her slicked-back bun. Her rumoured $500,000 engagement ring was joined by Graff jewellery, including a pendant tennis necklace with a floral drop that echoed her earrings. The effect was classic, luminous and entirely at home in the Riviera light.

Leo the dachshund was, of course, integral to proceedings. The couple’s beloved pup appeared throughout the Instagram carousel, lounging across the train of Alexandra’s gown, snoozing in her lap and posing proudly beside the Ferrari. It would not be their love story without him. Even the wedding cake featured a tribute to the pup: a tiny fondant blonde dachshund caught mid-nibble.

Charles kept his caption succinct: “28/02/2026 – Civil Wedding 🤍.” Alexandra wrote, “Dream. Can’t wait to marry you all over again next year x,” before later confirming the larger 2027 celebration.

The couple were first linked in early 2023, when she appeared in the background of a TikTok featuring Leclerc during Paris Fashion Week.

By July that year, the relationship was all but confirmed when the pair stepped out at Wimbledon for a double date with fellow F1 driver Pierre Gasly and his partner, Francisca ‘Kika’ Gomes, sealing their status in the court of public opinion.

If this was the soft launch wedding, consider us seated for the sequel.
