As Milan Fashion Week begins, models, celebrities and industry icons have taken time to remember legendary fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld a year after his sudden death.

The famed designer passed away at the age of 85, on February 19, after suffering a secret battle with pancreatic cancer. The news shocked the entire fashion industry and encouraged many emotional and touching tributes to the visionary at the Chanel and Fendi shows that followed.
On the one-year anniversary of his passing, celebrities honoured the late designer with a series of touching tributes. The likes of Kendall Jenner, Kaia Gerber and Bella Hadid, all regular models and friends of Lagerfeld shared heartfelt photos with the designer, adding that they continue to miss him.
Poppy Delevingne also shared a photo in remembrance of Lagerfeld from her wedding day, where she wore custom Chanel Haute Couture; “Remembering you today, & this dress of dreams you made for me,” she said. Delevingne also shared Lagerfeld’s original sketch of her dress, along with his note to the bride.
Françoise Caçote – Lagerfeld’s former housekeeper who inherited his beloved cat, Choupette – took to Instagram to share a lengthy post on the feline’s famous page in her voice;
“Dear daddy, It’s been a year since you’ve not been here, time flies so quickly,” the post began. “I learned to live with the weight of your absence, not a day goes by without me thinking of you, of us, of all those happy memories spent near to you.”
