We’ve got a fresh crop of farmers leading the charge on the 2026 season of Farmer Wants A Wife, and the drama has already arrived in force.
Viewers have been introduced to Farmers Dylan, Zac, Jarrad, Alex and Jason as they meet the women hoping to win their hearts. The season kicked off with the show’s familiar speed-dating format, with each farmer navigating a whirlwind of first impressions, difficult decisions and a handful of instant connections.
Along the way, there has been no shortage of chemistry, awkward flirting and memorable moments. From tensions brewing between Farmer Zac’s contestants and multiple women walking out on Farmer Jason to Farmer Dylan’s disappointment when several of his women opted out of an AFL match, the season has already delivered its fair share of controversy.
So much so, in fact, that some viewers have argued the show’s increasingly dramatic tone is beginning to feel a little too close to Married At First Sight.
As we all know, love is a ruthless business, and of the original 39 contestants, 25 have already seen their rural romance cut short. But with several connections still blossoming, intruders, and plenty of tough decisions yet to come, we’re still very much in the thick of it.

The search for love continues with Episode 10 on Sunday July 5, at 7:00pm AEST on Channel 7 and 7plus. Episode 9, which aired on Monday, June 29, treated viewers to sweet solo dates before a compatibility and chemistry challenge put the budding relationships to the test, as the women vied to win over their farmers.
Fan-favourite host Natalie Gruzlewski has returned, once again at the helm of the series for 2026.
Dubbing them “the hottest farmers ever”, she admits in the initial trailer, “Sorry, I’m getting a bit distracted talking to you. You sound like the dream man,” as she speaks to one contestant.
Last year, it was announced that six new farmers would be searching for love on the 2026 season of Farmer Wants A Wife. However, that number has since been pared back, with five farmers ultimately taking part this year.
