Jarrad has been a single dad to two boys long enough to know exactly what he’s looking for.

The almond farmer from South Australia reveals he’s looking for someone grounded and emotionally mature — someone who can hold her own on a camping trip and still want a proper conversation at the end of it.

“I’ve been drawn to strong, self-assured women,” he says. “But strength to me also means being able to compromise on the little things, staying open to new perspectives, and being willing to grow together.”

And did we mention he’s thoughtful, he’s 6’2″, and he cooks? A country dreamboat.

Farmer Dylan

Farms: Sheep

Dylan is a sheep farmer, a rodeo cowboy, and the owner of his own western wear brand — all before 25. Sound like the MMC from your favourite cowboy romance novel? We think so, too. And, the similarities just keep coming.

He rides saddle bronc competitively and walks away, by his own admission, “sometimes with a limp,” which somehow only adds to the appeal.

He calls himself a “pretty cruisy fella,” and there’s no reason to doubt him. He just also happens to spend his weekends being thrown off horses for sport. Hot.

Farmer Alex

Age: 28

Location: Kin Kin, Queensland

Farms: Cattle and mushrooms

Alex farms cattle and mushrooms, writes poetry, plays drums, and sells his produce at farmers’ markets. If that doesn’t scream well-rounded, we don’t know what does.

He’s a self-described nerd who has been quietly building his life with purpose — and is very honest about what he wants from a partner.

“I am looking for someone who is deeply connected with themselves and the world around them,” he says. “I would love someone artistic, fun, and sometimes a bit cheeky. I can be quite serious sometimes, so I am looking for someone with vibrance and light.”

Farmer Jason

Age: 37

Location: Coolabunia, Queensland

Farms: Dairy

Jason does reformer Pilates, plays netball, and gets called a “gentle giant” by everyone who knows him. He is completely at peace with all of that, reminding us all why we love a man in touch with his softer side.

The Queensland dairy farmer is a dad of two who wants more kids, more love, and someone genuinely fun to share it all with.

“I absolutely love being a dad and am very hands on with my two kids,” he says. There’s something quietly compelling about a man who leads with that, no qualifier required.

Farmer Zac

Age: 24

Location: Forest Range, South Australia

Farms: Apples

Zac plays AFL, grows apples, and makes a crème brûlée that is, by all accounts, very good. We love a man that can cook.

He is 24 and knows it — he wants kids eventually, but not yet, and he’s refreshingly clear about what a relationship should actually look like in the meantime. “I value honesty and openness,” he says. “Someone who is driven to achieve their own goals in life but is willing to stick around for mine.” Straightforward, sporty, and apparently excellent in the kitchen. Worse things to look for in a person.

Farmer John

Age: 37

Location: Mogumber, Western Australia

Farms: Cattle

John is a cattle farmer, a Muay Thai fighter, a dirt-bike rider, and a self-confessed perfectionist who believes in doing everything right the first time. We just hope that mentality extends to love.

According to his bio he is the kind of man who has thought seriously about love and is not embarrassed to say so.

“To keep it alive, it needs attention, mutual growth, care and vulnerability from one another,” he says.

As Western Australia’s sole representative this season John may be the most mysterious of the bunch. He is notably missing from the first promos for the show. What does that mean? We’ll have to wait and see.
