Can you hear that distant ringing? Don’t worry, you don’t have tinnitus; it’s the sound of ‘90s teens rejoicing at the announcement of an Alanis Morissette tour next year.

The Jagged Little Pill singer is heading down under for the first time in nearly twenty years. That’s 175,200 hours. Not that we’ve been counting.

Morissette will perform two shows in Melbourne and Sydney in January as a part of her ‘An Evening With Alanis Morissette’ tour.

The Grammy winner, now 43, will perform songs from across her career, including everyone’s favourite karaoke ballads, Ironic, You Oughta Know and All I Really Want.

Since selling 33 million copies of Jagged Little Pill (and defining an entire generation), Morissette has released five records, had two kids and a handful of acting roles, including a recurring gig on the cult series Weeds.

After celebrating the 20th anniversary of Jagged Little Pill in 2015, Morissette is now giving fans a chance to relive their teenage angst at her live shows.

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Monday and I’ve already got my Hand In My Pocket (sorry, couldn’t resist).
