Angelina Jolie was spotted on a 3-hour lunch date with billionaire heir, David de Mayer Rothschild, sparking rumours of a burgeoning romance.

Jolie, 47, and Rothschild, 44, were spotted leaving Nobu Malibu on Thursday, in photos obtained by Page Six

In the pics, the pair can be seen smiling as they walk through the carpark. Jolie wore an elegant black dress and simple heels for the outing, while Rothschild opted for trousers, a jacket, and a sweater.

Rothschild is not the first person Jolie has been linked to since her high-profile split from ex-husband Brad Pitt in 2019.

Jolie was seen on a series of dinner dates with The Weeknd in 2021, however the pair never confirmed or denied a romance.

Then, in January 2023, she was spotted grabbing coffee with Irish actor, Paul Mescal, sparking rumours of another possible romance, however they haven’t been seen together again.

While they are reportedly legally single, Pitt and Jolie’s divorce is yet to be finalised due to ongoing asset and custody issues. The pair share six children: Maddox, 21, Pax, 19, Zahara, 18, Shiloh, 16, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 14.

Who is David de Mayer Rothschild?

David Rothschild is a member of one of the world’s richest families, the Rothschilds, who rose to prominence in the 1800s through banking.

David works as an environmental activist, who describes his mission in his Instagram bio as to “warn and inform people about global warming.” He is the youngest heir to his family’s fortune.

Jolie also has an extensive history of humanitarianism, having worked with the UNHCR since 2001.

In 2012, she was appointed the role of United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Special Envoy.

Then, in December 2022, she announced she would step down from the role, saying in a statement, “I will continue to do everything in my power in the years to come to support refugees and other displaced people.”

“After 20 years working within the UN system I feel it is time for me to work differently, engaging directly with refugees and local organisations, and supporting their advocacy for solutions,” she added.
