Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson may have only made their relationship Instagram official last month, but that doesn’t mean they’re not serious about each other. In fact, things are so serious that Ashley just debuted a tattoo she got for her model girlfriend (or fiancee, if you’ve seen those ring photos).
While promoting her new sunglasses collaboration with Privé Revaux eyewear, the former Pretty Little Liars star posted a photo of herself to Instagram wearing a cropped black coat with a white singlet. The top was perfectly positioned to show off Ashley’s new ink: CD initials on the left side of her chest.
The tattoo looks to be a copy of someone’s handwriting (read: Cara’s) and, judging by Ashley’s recent Instagram photos, was likely done in the past few weeks. She posted a photo back on July 13th in which she doesn’t seem to have the ink:
A few weeks ago, Ashley and Cara were spotted sporting matching gold bands while in France, prompting fans to freak out that the couple had gotten engaged. Though they neither confirmed nor denied the reports, a few weeks earlier they publicly declared their love for each other for the first time.
To celebrate their one year anniversary, Cara posted a photo of her kissing Ashley on social media and later thanked her girlfriend at an event, saying she had a “very special woman”, who “helped me love myself when I needed it most.”
“I also have another very special woman in this room to thank, and you know who you are,” she started. “She’s one of the people who helped me love myself when I needed it most, and I really needed it. She showed me what real love is and how to accept it, which is a lot harder than I thought.” Delevingne ended the speech by calling Benson by a pet name: “I love you, Sprinkles.” Benson, who was in the audience, recorded Delevingne’s speech, sharing it to Instagram Stories and writing “Love you, Cara Delevingne. Proud of you.”
