“I am writing to let you know how much I am thinking of all the team at Evelina London Children’s Hospital during this hugely difficult time,” began the duchess. “It is heartening to know you are still very much open for business and continuing to provide expert care to sick children despite the challenging circumstances,” wrote the duchess.

In the note, Kate says she’s been keeping the hospital and its staff in her thoughts, commending them for their “truly inspirational” work. Continuing, the duchess added that amid the COVID-19 crisis, “it is a testament of your support and commitment to your patients that you are all pulling together to ensure they will have the best possible care.”

The Duchess of Cambridge also acknowledged the challenges that hospital staffers are battling outside of work due to the pandemic, encouraging them to “please look after yourselves and each other and know that the whole country is behind you.”

Kate, along with many other members of the royal family, have come together to show their support for those continuing to work and combat the global pandemic. In addition to her recent letter, Kate and Prince William surprised students and teachers at Casterton Primary Academy with a sweet Zoom call to thank them for their continued efforts amid the crisis.
