While the rest of the world is royally obsessed with Netflix show, The Crown, something we’ve always wondered is whether the real-life royals are huddled up in Buckingham Palace binging episodes.
According to multiple sources, Queen Elizabeth is a fan of the series, after Prince Edward reportedly persuaded her to give it a watch.
“Happily, she really liked it, although obviously there were some depictions of events that she found too heavily dramatised,” a source revealed to the Express.

However, Her Majesty’s husband might need a bit more convincing.
In a new interview with The Observer, Matt Smith, who plays Prince Philip in The Crown, revealed a close associate sat next to Prince Philip at a private dinner recently.
The Duke of Edinburgh reportedly asked Smith’s friend, “What do you do? Are you involved in this Crown thing?”

Smith’s friend replied “no” but later in the evening couldn’t resist asking the royal if he’d seen any of the show, saying: “Philip, I’m just wondering, because I have some friends who made The Crown, have you watched any?”
The Duke’s reply? “Don’t. Be. Ridiculous.”
