Prince William Can’t Stop Dropping Clues About Kate Middleton’s Due Date

It’s earlier than we all thought

Kensington Palace has remained tight-lipped on the Duchess of Cambridge’s due date – their official statement announcing the news made no mention of when the third royal baby is due – but Prince William may have just given the game away.

Answering a question from a member of the audience during his National Mental Health and Policing Conference address in Oxford last week, the Duke of Cambridge said off cuff: “It was a bit anxious to start with, but [we can] start celebrating this week,” reports The Mirror.

That would suggest they have reached the 12-week mark, and the baby would be due sometime in March.

Then yesterday, Prince William added further fuel to the speculation fire. Elle UK reports he told a midwife during his visit to Spitalfields Crypt Trust, ‘All the best with the midwifery, I may see you sooner than you think.”

Kate Middleton has a history of announcing her pregnancies ahead of her 12-week scan – as The Mirror points out, Princess Charlotte’s impending arrival was announced on September 8, 2014, before her 12-week scan, which was announced on October 20.

The Duchess’s hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe form of morning sickness, has made it impossible for her to keep the news secret for long with any of her pregnancies.
