Just when you thought the gap in between new seasons of The Handmaid’s Tale and The Crown could be used for bettering yourself (gym, washing, generally leaving the house), Netflix released its first look at new show Élite – and cancel that, we’re staying on the couch.
The Spanish drama, which is already dubbed by Netflix as a mix of Big Little Lies and Gossip Girl, centres around students at Las Encinas, an ultra-exclusive private high school in Spain.
But when three outsiders join the school after theirs is destroyed, tensions rise and escalate so far that someone is murdered.
Just like Big Little Lies and Riverdale, the trick of Élite will be figuring out the identity of the killer, but with the added addition of Blair Waldorf and Serena Van Der Woodsen-esque characters wandering the school halls.
