The And Just Like That season three finale was bitter sweet. It was only mid-way through this season when HBO confirmed this season’s finale would also see the end of the spin-off series.
While there were no cliffhangers or questions on how the story would continue into a fourth season, there was still plenty to unpack from the finale ending that just felt… right.
Carrie
In the final episode of And Just Like That, we see Carrie finally come to terms with who she was meant to be (at least in the eyes of OG fans): a fabulously single woman. We can’t be the only ones who felt Carrie wasn’t well, Carrie, when she was in serious relationships with Big and Aidan.
We see her confess to Miranda she’s found herself seeking comfort in a man, first with Aidan after Big’s death and again with Jonathan following her breakup with Aidan.
As the series closes out, she’s doing what she does best; drinking cocktails, gossiping with her girlfriends and writing on her laptop. There she muses as she closes out the show: “The woman realised she was not alone – she was on her own.”
Profound? Not really. But did it feel right? Absolutely.

Miranda
One truly chaotic and yas-ified Thanksgiving dinner that ends in the shitties (literally) ways aside, Miranda appears to have finally found The One in Joy. And honestly, after Che, the virgin nun and years of terrible men, we couldn’t be happier for her.
Charlotte
Charlotte and her family drama played a far smaller role this season, albeit from Harry’s cancer storyline. Still, we’re assured our favourite SATC husband is on the mend when he finally manages to get it up, making for the ultimate happy ending.
Everyone Else
Anthony and Giuseppe sort out their mummy issues and Seema gets her happy ending with hot gardener Adam after questioning whether they had a future together, Adam sweetly telling Carrie that the real estate broker isn’t “just a Thursday, she’s a lifetime.” Cute.
Meanwhile Lisa finally gets a lead on Michelle Obama for her documentary and puts an end to the simmering tension with her hot colleague, Marion, by choosing to work on her marriage.
