The 32nd Annual SAG Awards, newly renamed the Actor Awards, have unfolded in Los Angeles.
As the only major awards ceremony voted on exclusively by SAG-AFTRA members (that is, actors voting for fellow actors) the evening occupies a unique position within the awards season hierarchy. Moreover, it brings with it a different kind of energy that can only come from mutual recognition and appreciation.
In 2026, Kristen Bell returned as host, opening with a musical number that has evolved into her signature move. A posthumous win for Catherine O’Hara proved especially moving, accepted on her behalf by co-star Seth Rogen.
Lighter moments punctuated the evening, from a playful table tennis showdown between Ted Danson and Jackie Tohn to an unexpected onstage reunion of The Office cast, confirming that nostalgia remains the surest route to everyone’s hearts.
Nominees such as Kate Hudson, Jacob Elordi, Michael B. Jordan and Sarah Snook underscored a guest list defined by cross-generational star power. Harrison Ford accepted the SAG-AFTRA Life Achievement Award, presented with characteristic warmth by his long-time friend Woody Harrelson.

Seth Rogan Accepts Catherine O’Hara’s Posthumous Award
The death of Catherine O’Hara earlier this year was a loss so deeply felt by fans, fellow actors and co-stars alike. The profound impact the actress had on her craft and peers was echoed in the posthumous award for her work on comedy series The Studio, which was accepted by her co-star Seth Rogan.
Upon taking to the stage, Rogan said: “”I have been reflecting on my time working with her and something I’ve been marvelling at over the past few weeks was her ability to be generous and kind and gracious while never minimising her own talents and her own ability to contribute to the work we were doing.
I haven’t said this to the other actors cause I don’t want them to get ideas but pretty much every evening before we had a shooting day she would email me and Evan and it was always pretty similar it said ‘hello, I hope you consider the following’ and then there would be a completely rewritten version of the scene,” Rogen said to laughs from the audience.
“Literally 100 per cent of the time it made not just her character better but the scene and the show as a whole.
“She showed you could be a genius and be kind and those things don’t have to come at the expense of one another.”
There wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd.
Sinners Sweeps The Ceremony
Sinners swept the Actor Awards, taking out the night’s top ensemble honour and cementing its frontrunner status ahead of the Oscars.
In the ceremony’s biggest surprise, Michael B. Jordan won Leading Actor, edging out awards-season favourite Timothée Chalamet, who had been widely tipped to finally claim the prize after dominating early predictions.
“I wasn’t expecting this at all,” Jordan began his speech, “I’m so honored and privileged to be nominated in this category, with people and actors and humans that I love, and I love their work and I love what they contribute to our craft.”
He went on to thank his family, namely his mother who was in the audience. “That kid from New Jersey is standing here right now. Mom, thank you for driving me back and forth to New York when we didn’t have money for the Holland Tunnel or when we were looking for gas money and parking spaces.”
Harrison Ford Receives The Lifetime Achievement Award
Iconic actor Harrison Ford, 83, was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his six-decade-long career spanning roles from Star Wars to Indiana Jones.
The momentous gong was presented by fellow actor and friend, Woody Harrelson, who joked he was the star’s third choice behind Helen Mirren and Kamala Harris to present. Harrelson also hilariously found himself distracted at one point by Kate Hudson’s beauty, and honestly, who isn’t?
Upon accepting the award, Ford acknowledges all those who helped shaped his career.
“The work I do with other actors is one of the great joys of my life,” he said. “My career is built on their work, as well as the work of writers, directors and every single cast member, every crew member I’ve ever been on the set with.”
The Office Cast Reunion
Four of our favourites fromThe Office reunited on stage to present the award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, with Mindy Kaling, Jenna Fischer, Angela Kinsey and Ellie Kemper all appearing together in a moment that thrilled fans and brought a wave of nostalgia to the ceremony.
The quartet slipped straight back into their old rhythm, trading jokes and poking fun at their time in Scranton, with the kind of easy chemistry that only comes from surviving nine seasons of awkward office antics together.

They may not have been in attendance at todays’ awards ceremony but Zendaya and Tom Holland still had everyone talking about them. While on the red carpet, Zendaya’s longtime stylist, Law Roach very quietly revealed that the pair had secretly wed.
“The wedding already happened, you missed it,” he told Access Hollywood with a knowing smile. “It’s true.”
The Opening Monologue And Heated Rivalry Nod
Kristen Bell returned as host and kicked off the 2026 Actor Awards with an opening monologue that didn’t just acknowledge the show’s new name but leaned into it with humour and music. She playfully suggested alternative stage names for nominees and broke into a musical number that highlighted the absurdity and fun of Hollywood’s naming conventions by renaming stars like Jacordy O’Lordy (Jacob Elordi), Teddy Dandaughter (Ted Danson), Jesse Plimes (Jesse Plemons) and Tam Tam Chalaman (Timothee Chalamet).
Shortly after came a powerful montage recapping this year’s biggest films and shows and the incredible performances that earned them and the actors cast nominations. The best part however? It was all tracked to T.a.T.u’s hit song ‘All The Things She Said’, made famous again by viral series, Heated Rivalry.
