Over the weekend, news of Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus’ separation was announced. Following the sad news, Hemsworth made a statement to his Instagram page, writing: “Hi all, Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward. This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets. Any reported quotes attributed to me are false. Peace and Love.”
While collectively hearts broke across the world, proclaiming that love was, in fact, dead – the internet had other plans. Social media users made quick work of creating a viral petition that called for the hunky actor to become Australia’s next Bachelor (following Matt Agnew’s season).
A podcast called Outspoken first put out the idea on their Facebook page and it’s gained traction across the world.
Whether Liam would ever agree or not to the reality TV franchise is still unknown, but it’s still fun to fantasise about the possibility.
