We needed the nostalgia!
Power Couples Love Island Australia Season 8

Love Island Australia Season 8 is already in full swing, and this year, some familiar faces have returned to fan the flames within the villa.

Joining host Sophie Monk are The Power Couples: former Islanders who will be pulling strings and deploying power moves within the villa. These couples are proof that, against the (considerable) odds, it is possible to find lasting love on Love Island.

The lineup includes Claudia and Austen (Season 4 winners), Kale and Tyra (Season 5 winners), Georgia and Nate (Season 5), Eric and Kaylah (Season 6), and Kye and Yana (Season 7 winners), alongside Connor and Isabel (Season 7).

From their time in the villa to where their relationships stand today, here’s everything you need to know about Love Island Australia’s Power Couples.

Most Islanders enter Love Island Australia hoping to leave past relationships in their wake, not find themselves marooned under one roof with their ex, back at square one.

But for Yana and Kye, that’s exactly what happened. Despite entering the villa hoping to move on from her ex, 21-year-old Yana was left stunned when Kye sailed in as a Bombshell. With their complicated history still looming, the pair attempted to navigate unresolved feelings while exploring other connections in the villa, often right in front of each other.

Eventually, however, they found their way back to each other, going on to win the season together. Since leaving the villa, the couple have continued to share their lives with fans, welcoming a puppy named Kylo and documenting their relationship on Instagram, where loved-up snaps are in no short supply.

Connor & Isabel, Season 7

Connor and Isabel have one of our favourite Love Island romances of all time. After superfans voted Isabel their least favourite Islander on Season 7, Connor made the history-making decision to leave the villa with her, and the pair jetted out of Mallorca arm in arm.

Since their dramatic exit, the couple haven’t looked back, confirming they’re officially in love and still inseparable. The pair even embarked on a two-week “Love Island honeymoon”, travelling through Switzerland and Spain to spend some quality time together post filming.

And the globetrotting hasn’t stopped there. Judging by their Instagram, the lovebirds have since squeezed in a snow trip to New Zealand, while Isabel has made the move from Sydney to the Gold Coast to live with her beau.

Eric & Kaylah, Season 6

Despite arriving late to the Love Island Australia Season 6 villa, Bombshells Kaylah and Eric wasted little time making an impression, coupling up their way to the Grand Finale and securing the runner-up spot.

While they missed out on the $50,000 cash prize, they walked away with something arguably better: the real deal in romance! Since leaving the villa, the pair have gone from strength to strength, settling into life together on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, working side by side at the gym and adding a four-legged friend to the fold, their puppy Banjo.

And when they’re not indulging in domestic bliss, they’ve been busy bouncing between countries, jetting off to Bali, New Zealand, Spain, Italy and Greece.

Georgia & Nate, Season 5

Nate and Bombshell Georgia quickly became fan favourites on Season 5, but their villa romance was cut short when they landed in the bottom two couples and were ultimately dumped by their fellow Islanders.

Since leaving the show, the pair have weathered their fair share of ups and downs, navigating an on-again, off-again relationship. These days, however, they are on solid ground, having spent a sun-soaked European summer arm in arm, before they officially moved in together in September, with the pair now residing in Sydney.

Kale & Tyra, Season 5 Winners

If Love Island Australia Season 5 taught us anything, it’s never to underestimate the power of a second chance. Despite an initial spark, winners Tyra Johannes and Kale Roberts pursued separate connections in the villa, but when Kale was given another shot at winning Tyra’s heart, thankfully, he didn’t fumble it.

“My biggest regret on my way out was not pursuing things with you in the beginning. I was so lucky to have been given another chance to come back and tell you how I felt,” he told Tyra.

The gamble paid off, with the pair falling in love, exchanging “I love yous” and ultimately taking home the season’s $50,000 prize. Fast-forward to 2026, and the couple have now become a family of three (four if you include Cali the pup). After announcing their pregnancy in February, the couple welcomed baby boy Colton Quinn Roberts in September, making history as the first winning couple in Love Island Australia history to welcome a child.

Claudia & Austen, Season 4 Winners

Claudia Austen Love Island

The longest-standing couple on this list, Season 4 winners Claudia and Austen almost didn’t make it to the villa, with both initially hesitant to apply. Encouraged by Claudia’s sister and Austen’s mum, respectively, they took the plunge and haven’t looked back.

After navigating a long-distance relationship between Adelaide and Sydney, they eventually settled down together in Sydney. The pair remain active on social media, while Claudia has also branched out into reality TV beyond the villa, appearing on Network Ten’s reboot of The Traitors this year.
