All the Outlander Characters Returning in Blood Of My Blood
Several fan-favourite Outlander characters are returning in Blood of My Blood, portrayed by younger actors in the prequel. Viewers will meet early versions of Murtagh Fitzgibbons, Dougal and Colum MacKenzie, Jocasta Cameron, Mrs. Fitz, and Ned Gowan, alongside Jamie Fraser’s parents, Brian Fraser and Ellen MacKenzie. Outlander Blood Of My Blood Cast
Fraser Clan

Brian Fraser, Jamie’s father, was originally portrayed in flashbacks by Andrew Whipp in Outlander. In Blood of My Blood, his younger self will be played by Jamie Roy.
Ellen MacKenzie Fraser, Jamie’s mother, will take on a major romantic lead role in the prequel. She was seen in Outlander mainly through memories or mentions, and will now be portrayed by Harriet Slater.
Jamie’s godfather, Murtagh Fitzgibbons Fraser, was originally played by Duncan Lacroix. In the prequel, a younger Murtagh will be brought to life by Rory Alexander.
Clan MacKenzie Figures

Dougal MacKenzie, Ellen’s brother and Jamie’s uncle, was originally played by Graham McTavish. In Blood of My Blood, his younger counterpart will be portrayed by Sam Retford.
Colum MacKenzie, Dougal’s brother and the future laird, was played by Gary Lewis in Outlander. His younger self will be depicted by Séamus McLean Ross.
Jocasta Cameron, Ellen’s sister and Jamie’s aunt, was originally played by Maria Doyle Kennedy. In the prequel, her youthful version will be portrayed by Sadhbh Malin.
Mrs. Fitzgibbons, affectionately known as Mrs. Fitz, was originally portrayed by Annette Badland. Sally Messham will now take on the role of her younger self.
Other Familiar Faces

Ned Gowan, the Clan MacKenzie’s witty lawyer and legal adviser, was played by Bill Paterson in Outlander. Conor MacNeill will portray his younger self in the preque
Lord Lovat, also known as Simon Fraser and Jamie’s paternal grandfather, was originally played by Clive Russell. Tony Curran will step into the role for his earlier years.
Arch Bug, known as part of Clan Grant’s security, was portrayed by Hugh Ross in Outlander. Terence Rae will take on his younger version.
Angus Mhor, a loyal clan retainer and friend, was originally brought to life by Stephen Walters. His younger self will be played by Marlow Walters.
Rupert MacKenzie, a young clan member, was portrayed in the original series by Grant O’Rourke. In Blood of My Blood, the character will be played by Louis O’Rourke, Grant’s real-life son.
