The original drama is a hotbed of teen hormones (yes, there’s a love triangle), family secrets and devastatingly good-looking people. So, what’s the deal and where can you watch it?
Created by Megan Park (of My Old Ass fame) and executive produced by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage of Gossip Girl and The O.C. pedigree, plus Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap Entertainment, Sterling Point follows 17-year-old Annie Jacobson, who’s been raised in a posh Manhattan home by her single dad. After getting knocked back from her dream summer program, Annie learns that she and her twin brother Connor have inherited an island from the estranged grandfather she was never allowed to meet.
Determined to get to the bottom of the family history that no one will explain to her, Annie sets off on a secret solo trip to the island known as Sterling Point in Ontario’s Muskoka region, only to find it’s already occupied. A girl named Ramona, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Annie’s late mother, is living there and claims the place as her own.
What follows is a summer of new friendships, slow-burn romance (that aforementioned love triangle) and long-buried secrets about to come undone, as Annie and Ramona are forced to reckon with a shared past neither of them saw coming.

Leading the Sterling Point cast is Ella Rubin as Annie Jacobson (The Idea of You, Anora), with Amélie Hoeferle playing Ramona (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, Night Swim) and Keen Ruffalo — Mark Ruffalo’s son — playing Annie’s twin brother Connor.
The love triangle side of things is handled by Daniel Quinn-Toye (Sunny Dancer) and Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie (Billie Blue), with Bo Bragason (Renegade Nell), Nikko Angelo Hinayo (Davey & Jonesie’s Locker), Mabel Strachan, Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers and Missi Pyle filling out the rest of the island’s residents.

If you’re keen to dive in, Sterling Point is streaming exclusively on Prime Video, with the show landing for Aussie viewers at 5 pm AEST on Wednesday, August 5. All eight episodes dropped at once, so it’s a full binge-ready season rather than a weekly rollout.
