NEED TO KNOW
- Best friends Courtney and Sev are The Block’s 2026 winners, taking home a record-breaking total prize haul of $1.87 million
- All five houses on The Block 2026, with the last-place team still earning a $367,000 profit
- New Victorian law meant the homes’ reserve price of $3.45 million was released a week ahead of the auction
Last year, on the Daylesford season of The Block, only three out of five houses sold at auction. This year in Victoria’s Mount Eliza, not only did all five houses sell, but history was made when the winning duo, Brisbane-based best friends Courtney and Sev, walked away with a record-breaking total prize haul of $1.87 million. Even the season’s last-placed contestants, Gold Coast couple Chantel and Wyatt, earned a $367,000 profit.
For the first time in The Block’s history, all reserve prices were publicly released seven days before auction day, in accordance with new Victorian law. This meant viewers learnt a week out that each house had a reserve price of $3.45 million.
Winners Courtney and Sevilay sold their renovated home, House 4 at 9 Mackillop Place, for $4.72 million, earning them a $1.27 million profit above reserve, plus the $100,000 winner’s prize and the $500,000 Scotty Cam Plungie Prize Pool. Touchingly, the pair decided to donate $75,000 in cash to the My Room Children’s Cancer Charity after hosting 18 families at the house a couple weeks before the auction.
“The kick we got out of that day, and what we were able to give those families just felt so beautiful,” Sev said on the show. “So Courtney and I just wanted to further lean into that.”
Talking with The Age, Courtney said: “We took a lot of risks during the show, and everyone thought we were nuts when we picked House 4 over the uptown and the views.” Keser added: “We could never imagine we’d win that sort of money … and the prize. Now we have to negotiate who gets the boat. It might be our first fight.”
So, what did the other houses this season sell for, and how much profit did they make?

Who Bought The Block Houses?
The Block’s Mount Eliza homes were sold to a mix of local and Melbourne families, owner-occupiers and investors. Winners Courtney and Sev sold theirs to a local Melbourne couple who initially wanted to use it as a family weekender – and were fans of the show.
Serial Block buyer Danny Wallis bid frequently throughout the auction, but ended up not buying anything. Billionaire Adrian Portelli, who spent $15.03 million buying all five homes in the 2024 auction, didn’t attend this year’s.
Where Was The Block 2026 Location?
The 2026 The Block season was filmed in Mount Eliza in Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, a prestigious coastal suburb an hour from Melbourne CBD, overlooking Port Phillip Bay. Specifically, the homes were on Old Mornington Road. Interestingly, the homes were just a short drive from the 2024 season location of Phillip Island.
