Move over revenge dressing, Gisele Bündchen is currently ushering in an era of ‘revenge holidays’ by jetting off to Costa Rica with her Jiu-Jitsu instructor.
The supermodel, who announced her divorce from NFL juggernaut Tom Brady back in 2022, has been spotted in the Central American country with martial arts instructor Joaquim Valente.
And if the tabloids are to be believed, it seems that despite his occupation as Gisele’s instructor, the pair have been doing little to no jiu-jitsu while vacationing together on the beach-side holiday.
Not implying anything untoward, but with this being the third time Joaquim and Gisele have been spotted together in Costa Rica in less than six months, fans have started wondering whether the pair are showing signs of a budding romance.

Who Is Joaquim Valente?
There’s little personal information about Joaquim on the internet, save for a private Instagram account and few sneaky pap shots of him with Gisele, but that hasn’t stopped super sleuths from revealing a few snippets of information about the jiu-jitsu expert.
The Miami-based martial arts trainer currently teaches with his siblings at his family-owned academy, Valente Brothers. According to the academy’s website, Joaquim moved to Miami in 2007 to study criminology.

If you’ve been keeping up with the Brady/Bündchen family since their marriage in 2009, you’ll know that this isn’t the first time Joaquim’s name has appeared in headlines next to Gisele’s.
Almost a year to the date of Gisele and Joaquim’s most-recent sighting, the pair first set front covers alight after the supermodel posted a video of her taking down the instructor through a series of jiu-jitsu chokes.
The star captioned her Instagram post: “I feel stronger, more confident and empowered since I started practicing self-defense. I feel it’s an important skill for all, but especially for us women. Thank you @ValenteBrothers for being awesome teachers and for making training so much fun.”
As per PEOPLE, Gisele first began training in 2021 when she signed her son up for lessons at Valente’s academy.

Well, that’s the million dollar question. So far, the duo have only been spotted on platonic holidays together in Costa Rica. But perhaps for the elite, taking your trainer to an otherwise romantic getaway doesn’t seem out of left field, right?
Given that Gisele owns a house in Costa Rica, it doesn’t seem that abnormal for Joaquim to join the humanitarian and her family for personal Jiu Jitsu training sessions. But with the pair spotted doing more relaxing than working out, we’re not sure how accurate this story is—even if Gisele is still claiming to be single.
