Three weeks out from the Rio Olympics, Katy Perry has released a soaring, new Olympics-inspired single Rise.
The song is Perry’s first in three years, and will be the NBC’s official Olympics anthem. (Previous songs have included Whitney Houston’s One Moment In Time).
We love the song itself, but it’s the video – which includes memorable moments from past Olympic games – that will have you counting down the days till Rio.
“This is a song that’s been brewing inside me for years, that has finally come to the surface,” Perry said of Rise in a statement. “I was inspired to finish it now, rather than save it for my next album, because now more than ever, there is a need for our world to unite.”
