If you’re currently searching high and low for a new television series to bury yourself into, you might just be in luck. 

Paramount+ is Australia’s newest streaming platform set to bring dozens of binge-worthy television shows and films. Launching on August 11, the network has previously seen a wildly successful launch in the US, catalysing its arrival Down Under. 

To add, in conjunction with Channel Ten, Paramount+ will be streaming some of the Network’s biggest local hits. It costs $8.99 per month, coming in slightly cheaper than other streaming platforms in Australia.

Broad City

This easily digestible television show starring Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer is great for light, escapism content. It follows two best friends navigating their 20s in New York City. 


The Good Fight 

A spin off of cult television show The Good Wife, this sequel follows Diana and her goddaughter Maia a year after the events of its predecessor series as they try to rebuild their law careers. 


Five Bedrooms 

This classic Australian television series follows the lives of five friends who decide to chip in together to buy a house. Starring familiar faces Steve Peacocke and Kat Stewart, a second season is set to bring a new batch of drama as they each battle their personal demons under the one roof. 


iCarly (rebooted) 

An iconic teen show of the 2000s, iCarly followed a self-made internet star who got famous with her webcast. In the reboot, the main characters are back and all grown up as they attempt to navigate the main challenges of their 20s. 


The Big Bang Theory

Another popular sitcom set to bring that sweet, half-hour episode release, The Big Bang Theory brings together four socially awkward, extremely intelligent pals as their lives get turned upside down after meeting the free-spirited Penny. 


MTV classics 

A unique offering from Paramount+ is bringing some of your old favourite MTV shows back to the streaming world. Expect the likes of Geordie Shore, Are You The One? and Jersey Shore. 



The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy

The king of fantasy films, Tolkien’s Lord Of The Rings was adapted into this three-part masterpiece following the journey of Frodo on his quest to destroy the one ring to rule them all.

In one of the platform’s more modern releases, book-to-film adaptation Crazy Rich Asians shot to international success in 2018. The narrative follows Rachel Chu, an economics professor who discovers she is dating the son of one of Singapore’s most wealthy families. 


The Dark Knight Trilogy 

Featuring Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises, the batman based film series garnered some solid box office success. It comes to Paramount+ with the promise of a dose of nostalgia for those familiar with the trilogy.
