The third and final season of Heartbreak High has arrived on Netflix, and while it’s all about graduation and goodbyes for Hartley High’s class, there are still some fresh faces joining the mix. One newcomer catching fans’ attention is Ben Turland, who plays Liam — a flirty carnival worker who crosses paths with Harper on her new job.

We first meet the new heartthrob in episode one while Amerie is visiting Harper during her shift before they’re interrupted by Liam who offers to cover her stall so she can take a break.

When introduced to Amerie by name, he quips: “Amerie? I thought it was going to be ‘Beautiful’”

Smooth. It’s safe to say Liam, with his rugged good looks, edgy tattoos and surprising soft side slowly won fans over as the season unfolded. Cut to his shirtless scene in episode four and, well, we were all done for.

So who is Ben Turland, the heartthrob who plays Liam? And is he single?

Who Is Ben Turland aka Heartbreak High‘s Liam?

Turland, 27, is best known for his work in Australian soap operas. He got his start young, reaching the semi-finals of Australia’s Got Talent as part of a dance crew before pivoting to acting.

His first major role came in 2016 on long-running drama Home And Away, where he played foster kid Jordan Walsh. He later joined Neighbours as Hendrix Greyson — a role that earned him a Best Daytime Star nomination at the 2022 Inside Soap Awards.

Heartbreak High marks his first project since the 2022 miniseries Riptide and 2023’s Paper Dolls. Now the 27-year-old is stepping into the world of Hartley High, and it’s safe to say fans have already taken notice.

Is Ben Turland In A Relationship?

As far as we can tell, the Heartbreak High heartthrob is very much single. The rising Aussie actor keeps his personal life tightly under wraps — there’s no girlfriend, no situationship, and definitely no couple’s Instagram to speak of.

For someone who plays a flirty carnival worker on screen, he’s remarkably tight-lipped about his real-life romantic life.

So yes, fans — he appears to be on the market. You’re welcome.
