The reason Ryan Gosling missed the BAFTAs

He was nominated for Best Actor, and his film LA LA Land took out five awards at the BAFTAs.

But Ryan Gosling was noticeably absent at the British film awards on Sunday night.

Backstage, producer Marc Platt told Metro that “Ryan regrets not being here tonight. He had a family matter to attend to. He’s sad not to be here.”

He added, “He’s sorry not to be here this evening but sends everyone his appreciation and congratulations on the film.’

Gosling has two daughters, Esmeralda and Amada, with actress Eva Mendes.
