As the world comes to terms with the 59 lives lost (and over 500 people injured) in the horrific Las Vegas shooting, people everywhere – including some of Hollywood’s biggest names – are calling for America to finally legislate tighter gun control laws.
Yesterday’s event was the deadliest mass shooting in US history, as American man Stephen Paddock, 64, gunned down festival-goers from his hotel room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel. The rapid-fire shooting has been attributed to an automatic weapon, with Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo revealing today that a total of 17 firearms were found in Paddock’s hotel room, Washington Post reports.
Guitarist and former second amendment supporter Caleb Keeter, who performed on the night, is just one of countless celebrities who are now calling for stricter gun laws in the US. See what they have to say below:
Prayers are important but @SpeakerRyan @realDonaldTrump blood is on the hands of those who have power to legislate. #GunControl act quickly. https://t.co/bXZQ7enuEp

This day sucks. It sucks to see this happen again and again. It sucks that these dear souls lost their lives to a machine that loves violence. It sucks knowing that nothing at all will be done to curb it.

Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden are among the politicians calling for gun control laws as well.
The crowd fled at the sound of gunshots.

Imagine the deaths if the shooter had a silencer, which the NRA wants to make easier to get.
How long do we let gun violence tear families apart? Enough. Congress & the WH should act now to save lives. There's no excuse for inaction.
