These Are The Most Likely Names For The Royal Baby

We already have a favourite

The good people of Kensington Palace had barely pressed send on their Instagram post announcing Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal baby news when the name predictions started rolling in. Already, bookmakers around the world have released their favourites, for baby names as well as hair colour (our bet’s on ginger) and due date.

Regardless of whether the happy couple have even discussed the matter amongst themselves yet, Arthur is currently the hot favourite for a royal baby boy. As for potential girls’ names? Many are speculating that Prince Harry and Meghan would name their first daughter after Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana.

Other suggestions include Alice, Grace, Victoria, Alexandra, Frances and Elizabeth.

Alternatively, the couple may veer away from royal tradition in favour of a more personal choice.

Given that their children won’t be directly in line to the throne, they’re not strictly obliged to choose a royal moniker – they may follow the lead of Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter, Zara Philips, who has named her daughters Lena and Mia.
