What happens in the fourth season of ‘Succession’?

Season four unpacks more about the Roy family, who are owners of media conglomerate, Waystar RoyCo (yes, there are definitely some Rupert Murdoch references in here).

At the end of the third season, the Roy siblings, well, the three that count (Kendall, Shiv and Roman), united to stop their tyrannical father from selling Waystar Royco to Lukas Matsson (played by Alexander Skarsgard).

Of course, they were frustratingly defeated by Logan, due to what may be the show’s most shocking betrayal yet. You can read a full recount of the finale, here

As for season four, we’ll see the sale move ever so closer, with the synopsis teasing: “The prospect of this seismic sale provokes existential angst and familial division among the Roys as they anticipate what their lives will look like once the deal is complete.”

“A power struggle ensues as the family weighs up a future where their cultural and political weight is severely curtailed.”

Who is in the cast of ‘Succession’?

Brian Cox plays Logan Roy, while Kieran Culkin and Jeremy Strong play his sons Roman Roy and Kendall Roy, respectively. Sarah Snook plays his daughter Siobhan Roy (also known as ‘Shiv’).

Alan Ruck (Conor) also returns, as well as Nicholas Braun, Matthew Macfadyen, Peter Friedman, J. Smith-Cameron, and Fisher Stevens for the new season.
