Here’s Who Will Take Over From Jessica Biel In ‘The Sinner’ Season 2

The Netflix hit show will be back with a new twist

Last month Netflix announced that The Sinner would be back for a second season – just not as we know it!

Fans hoped that executive producer and star Jessica Biel would also return to our screens. After all, Jessica’s Golden Globe-nominated performance and amazing bangs were part of the reason we loved the first season so much. Gripping murder mystery, aside.

On May 4th Netflix confirmed that Biel would not be part of The Sinner season two in any on-screen capacity, however, would continue her role as executive producer.

Paving the way for a new female lead, Carrie Coon will portray lead character ‘Vera’. Coon has received raise for her work in Fargo, The Post and Avengers: Infinity War.

The new episodes follow Bill Pullman’s character, Detective Harry Ambrose, as he investigates the murder of two people by their 11-year-old son in Upstate New York.  Following the premise of season one, there is no apparent motive for the crime.

The Sinner season two’s Australian premiere date is set for winter 2018.
