There’s no denying that when And Just Like That debuted season one in 2021, it was to a cultural sphere primed for nostalgia.
Between revivals, reboots and reunions, the year saw some of TVs most pivotal series return to the screen–Friends, Gossip Girl, The Sopranos—but none had us quite as excited as that of Sex And The City.
The HBO Max-made spin-off, named And Just Like That…, takes place some 10 or so years after we last saw the iconic foursome.
Luckily for us Aussie fans, like much of HBO’s bingeable content, And Just Like That… is available to stream here on the newly launched Max platform.
While Kim Cattrall did not reprise her role as Samantha, Kristen Davis and Cynthia Nixon joined Sarah Jessica Parker as Charlotte, Miranda and Carrie, respectively, in the reboot.
The first season saw the trio navigate life, love and loss (RIP Big) in a new era of their lives overrun by hormonal and moody teenagers, social media and progressive millennials.
While And Just Like That… divided die-hard fans, there was no denying the gravitas the show still held with each episode becoming its own talking point every week.
So, it came as no surprise that season two arrived, navigating Carrie’s post-Big sex life (including the reappearance of past-paramour Aiden Shaw, played by John Corbett), Miranda’s new same-sex relationship with Che Diaz and Charlotte’s navigation of life as a modern mother.
Not only that, but a third season is also on its way, meaning more sex, more fashion and more drama awaits our favourite New Yorkers.
“We are thrilled to spend more time in the Sex and the City universe telling new stories about the lives of these relatable and aspirational characters played by these amazing actors,” said executive producer and showrunner Michael Patrick King in a statement. “And Just Like That… here comes season three.”

And Just Like That… season three will premiere on HBO Max on Friday May 30th at 11 a.m. AEST. New episodes will drop weekly, every friday at the same time.
