Season two of And Just Like That… may still be top of our minds (thanks to the return of Samantha Jones), but we’re already thinking about what fresh drama the third season could entail.
Yes, that’s right, season three of the Sex and the City reboot has officially been confirmed – a day before the season two finale is set to air nonetheless.
With the return of Carrie Bradshaw’s old flame Aidan Shaw to the Kim Cattrall cameo we’ve all been waiting for, there’s much to be continued after this second season.
So, while we impatiently wait for more details on season three (When will it air? Who will return? Will Samantha come back?) we’ve gathered everything you need to know about the upcoming season.

What will happen in season three of And Just Like That…?
While details about the third season have been kept firmly under wraps, fans can expect the return of Carrie and her best pals, Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York Goldenblatt, as they navigate life and friendship in their 50s.
“We are thrilled to spend more time in the Sex and the City universe telling new stories about the lives of these relatable and aspirational characters played by these amazing actors,” said executive producer and showrunner Michael Patrick King in a statement. “And Just Like That… here comes season three.”
Of course, when the season two finale airs we’ll have a much better picture of what to expect next season, but so far we can assume to see more of Carrie and Aidan as their relationship evolves, Charlotte balancing motherhood with her career, and Miranda finding herself as a newly single woman in her 50s.

Who is in the cast of And Just Like That… season three (and will Kim Cattrall come back)?
Judging by the fact that the series follows the lives of our three favourite New Yorkers, it’s safe to assume we’ll see the return of Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie), Cynthia Nixon (Miranda) and Kristin Davis (Charlotte) for season three.
We can also expect to see the return of John Corbett (Aidan), Sara Ramírez (Che), Sarita Choudhury (Seema), Nicole Ari Parker (Lisa) and Karen Pittman (Nya) in season three, judging by the focus of their own separate storylines in seasons one and two.
As for Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha in the original franchise, while she’s set to make a cameo in tomorrow night’s finale episode, it’s unlikely we’ll see anything more from her given her history with the franchise (more on that here).

What is the release date for And Just Like That… season three?
A release date for AJLT season three is yet to be announced, but there might be a slight delay on when it will return given the fact that work can’t begin until after the resolution of strikes by Hollywood writers and actors.
Although, given the first season premiered in December 2021 and the second season arrived in June 2022, chances are that season three will arrive sometime in late 2024 or early 2025, depending on when production begins.
