Cystic Fibrosis Sufferer Nardya Miller Dies Aged 25

The make-up artist tragically died almost two years after receiving a double lung transplant.

Brisbane make-up artist Nardya Miller tragically lost her battle with cystic fibrosis at the age of 25.

Ms Miller passed away just one day before the second anniversary of her double lung transplant.

Family and friends paid tribute to Ms Miller for her brave fight against cystic fibrosis.

“Not many of us know what it feels like to be told we aren’t expected to live past our teenage years,” a family member told the Sunshine Coast Daily.

“But Nardya achieved more in her short life than many of us could dream of.”

The beauty salon owner was told on January 11 she had just a week to live after her body continually rejected a double lung transplant she had over two years ago.

Ms Miller shared a powerful message on Instagram after being admitted to palliative care.

“Thank you to all of you who have been apart of my journey in this crazy world. Whether you made my moments good or bad, you made me into the women I am today,” she wrote.

“Things do not always turn out how you plan in life, there are some really huge things that I will never have, places I’ll never go and things I’ll never live to see. But I’ll be watching. Always. Smiling. Because I was here.”

She used her final days to raise awareness of organ donation, and set up a Go Fund Me page so she wouldn’t leave her fiancé, Liam Fitzgerald, in debt.

$33k has been raised, surpassing Ms Miller’s target of $10k.
