And while she’s hardly the first celebrity to dabble in beauty (hello, Rihanna, Selena Gomez and Lady Gaga), we have no doubt that, just like her Super Bowl performance, the line is sure to make a splash, especially considering the world’s collective obsession with Lopez’s anti-ageing secrets.

What is the name of Jennifer Lopez’s new beauty line?
Lopez took to Instagram on August 24 to make the big announcement, revealing what turned out to be the brand’s name in the process.
The name was later confirmed in late November, with the entrepreneur posting a teaser video featuring the brand’s name to her Instagram and the newly set up @JLoBeauty page as well.
What is the release date for JLo Beauty?
Good news: JLo Beauty will drop on January 1, 2021. For those who are particularly keen to get their hands on the goods (with a glow like that, who wouldn’t?), you can get early access on December 8 by signing up on the website.
Although nothing has been officially declared on the website’s home page, it does appear in that the fine print that the brand will be shipping internationally, so it will most likely be available to order in Australia.
Is JLo Beauty a makeup or a skincare line?
We can officially confirm: JLo Beauty is indeed a skincare line. Releasing the first look at her long-awaited line to the brand’s Instagram page on December 3, Lopez gave her followers a glimpse of the products’ chic packaging and broke each one in the collection down by name, listing them as:

In a following video post titled “Introducing JLo Beauty”, Lopez elaborated on the process of creating her line, and the unexpected, centuries-old ingredient that forms the basis of her skincare: olive oil.
“For years, the number one question that I have been asked is what do I do for my skin,” Lopez says in the clip.
“People wanted to know. So I felt an obligation almost to put it in a bottle and say ‘Okay, this is what I do with my skin’.”
The video then showed Lopez in the early planning stages of the line, saying: “I’m a big olive oil person. So, for me, that would be a basis of something we could start with as far as formulations and things like that.”
She continued: “I’ve tried everything. I’ve tried drug store products and I’ve tried the most expensive products. What I went back to was basically secrets my mum told me when I was young, how olive oil was a kind of a ‘cure-all’ for your hair, your skin, your nails, your body… it was like nature’s magic ingredient. That’s the thing that makes that natural grow. It’s pretty simple: these things work, without a doubt.”
While Lopez only announced her impending line in late 2020, it’s actually been quietly in the works for quite some time. In 2018, she told Refinery 29:
“I will be coming out with a skincare line. I’ve been working on it for a long time because I don’t want to put [just] anything out. It’s going to be something that works. That’s what you can count on when my name is on something.”
In one of the two teaser campaign videos for JLo Beauty, Lopez acknowledges her signature brand of ‘glow’, defining it in a way that leans into a skincare-meets-self-care arena.
“A glow is something that starts on the inside that shows on the outside,” she says.
“It’s living healthy… spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically. It’s a joy for me to be able to share that.”
