These Are The Exact Nail Polish Shades Meghan Markle Wore On Her Wedding Day

The Duchess' bridal manicure called for a little colour mixing

Meghan Markle’s ability to push royal beauty boundaries is nothing new; from the undone bun she often embraced during public outings to her affinities for applying her own makeup and wearing lip gloss, she certainly carved out a unique path for herself throughout her time as a senior royal.

Her wedding day was no different, as though her Givenchy wedding gown may have fallen under ‘classic’, she chose to take a more modern approach when it came to her bridal manicure.

Her shade didn’t stray from palace-approved neutral territory, however, Markle did opt for an opaque polish, a subtle yet notable departure from the sheer manis long embraced by the likes of The Queen and The Duchess of Cambridge.

But while the details of aforementioned gown (as well as her Stella McCartney reception dress and Commonwealth-inspired veil design) were revealed hours after the 2018 ceremony, the specific details of her polish shades remained a secret—until now.

“We had the huge honour of doing The Duchess’ nails for the Royal wedding,” U.K.-based nail salon DRYBY London revealed to British Vogue, explaining that Markle opted for a hybrid hue that called for a mix of two of long-wear polish brand CND’s most beloved colours.

The exact shades used to create her bespoke bridal manicure? One layer of ‘Unmasked’, a shell-toned neutral pink, followed by two coats of ‘Negligee’, a ballet-slipper-esque blush colour.

As for her pedicure (hidden beneath a pair of stunning Aquazzura pumps on the day, but perfectly polished nonetheless), Markle wore two coats of ‘Cashmere Wrap’, a classic taupe-y nude.

The Duchess herself opted for in-salon shellac to ensure the finish lasted throughout the many engagements involved in her wedding weekend, however, the exact shades are available for purchase in the DIY arena as well (though the latter two have temporarily sold out due to popular demand—fans have been waiting years for this reveal).
