Chanel has named Pedro Pascal its newest House Ambassador — and the move is as quietly revolutionary as Matthieu Blazy’s tenure at the house has come to be.
Chanel does not do menswear. It never has. And yet, in recent months, the house has been dressing some of Hollywood’s most compelling men with unmistakable intention.
Pascal recently appeared on the Oscars red carpet in a white tuxedo shirt with an oversized chrysanthemum silk and feather brooch from the House, meanwhile Jacob Elordi turned heads on his Wuthering Heights press tour in a piece from Blazy’s new collection, instantly becoming coveted by collectors of the brand.
It’s with this in mind that Pascal makes a rare yet poignant appointment for the Maison. The actor has had his own kind of quiet revolution — a decades-long grind that defied every industry algorithm before culminating in a run of projects including The Last of Us, The Mandalorian, Fantastic Four, Eddington, and the forthcoming Behemoth!

That trajectory — patient, deliberate, and ultimately undeniable — mirrors something of what Blazy is building at Chanel. The designer’s vision for the house is one of deep respect for its heritage alongside a willingness to rewrite its boundaries.
The Artistic Director has praised Pascal as inviting and inspiring, qualities that speak to something more meaningful than aesthetic alignment alone.
“Pedro is a wonderful man and an incredible actor. His kindness, talent and his vision of the world are both inviting and inspiring. We are thrilled to welcome him to the CHANEL family and I’m happy to embark on this adventure together,” Blazy says of the star.
The groundwork for the announcement was laid months ago. Pascal attended Blazy’s debut Chanel show — the Spring/Summer 2026 collection unveiled at the Grand Palais in Paris last October — before the Oscars appearance that felt, in retrospect, less like a red carpet moment and more like an introduction.
