Kendall Jenner Is Moving Fashion Forward As Creative Director of FWRD

The 25-year-old supermodel is expanding her enviable resume

Kendall Jenner isn’t your average 25-year-old. When she’s not being one of the world’s highest paid supermodels, cherry picking her fashion jobs, drinking 818 tequila or trying for a baby with beau Devin Booker, she’ll now be spending her time as the Creative Director of luxury e-tailer FRWD, too.

The Californian native took to Instagram to announce her new role to the fashion community and 186 million Instagram followers. Certainly more chic than updating her LinkedIn.

Speaking to the position, Kendall Jenner remarks, “as @fwrd new Creative Director, I am excited to learn even more and help curate the site’s offering with emerging designers and brands.” So what does this actually mean? Jenner’s role as Creative Director entails curtating the aesthetic of the site and creating of designers and trends for customers to shop.

FWRD is an e-commerce site with an ahead-of-the-curve mindset and an elusive roster of designers, ranging from iconic maisons de couture to the latest emerging talents, so she’ll certainly have her hands full.

Although we doubt Jenner will be spending her days coding the site, we hope that she’ll use this platform for promoting upcoming, unique labels and continue to move fashion forward.

So when is her first day? Jenner has taken the new role in stride and has already begun fulfilling her commitments as Creative Director with a shoppable campaign, shot by Glen Luchford and styled by Carlos Nazario, and edit of Jenner’s must have pieces for the season ahead.

The campaign, shot in the scenic surroundings of Los Angeles offers the essence of California-cool, a style that has become synonymous with the Beverly Hills babe.

Jenner brings her unique SoCal style to the job, with her edit reflective of her distinctive and signature style. The edit is comprised of Jenner’s staples, including the ever so versatile black trench coat (which is of her must-have investment pieces). The lineup also includes cult classics and new favourites from desirable luxury houses including Jacquemus, Bottega Veneta, The Row and Australia’s own Alex Perry.

Reflecting on her unique fashion sense, Jenner admits she achieves her neutral look by layering different textures. Her go-to outfit? A cashmere bralette and linen blazer, styled with white trousers, heeled thongs and gold hoops.

With one of the most coveted wardrobes in the celebrity style set, thanks to the help of stylist Dani Michelle, we’re sure that Kendall’s edits are sure to be a sell out. We have our credit cards at the ready.
