Overnight, Meghan Markle stepped out with Prince Harry for the Commonwealth Youth Forum, and immediately caused a stir with her fashion-forward outfit – a well-timed break from her rotation of tie-at-the-waist coats. Even more surprising? The royal-to-be was wearing not one, but two Australian designs – and the world was in raptures.
Markle chose the sharp-shouldered Camilla and Marc ‘Marguerite’ black blazer and Oroton ‘Avalon’ cross-body bag, teamed with a striped Altuzarra day dress and Tamara Mellon heels.Â
Sadly (but unsurprisingly) the Oroton bag has already sold out online – perhaps something to do with the fact that it retails for under $300, and the whole world wants it.
The Camilla & Marc blazer has been a fashion girl favourite for seasons now. Was Markle inspired by Anna Heinrich, who practically lived in it last winter? We may never know.
