The giddy feelings of a new relationship donโt last forever, even for one of Australiaโs hottest (literally) couplesโ Lara and Sam Worthington.
Speaking to Kyle and Jackie O, Lara Worthington admitted the butterflies in her stomach no longer flutter at the sight of her husband of nearly three years.
โLara, do you still get butterflies when you see Sam?โ Sandilands asked her on the KIIS FM show on Tuesday.
โItโs not butterflies, itโs just a differentโฆโ Worthington replied, trailing off.
The model agreed with Jackie O that she only felt butterflies in the first year of the relationship. โAnd then that passes,โ she said.
In the lengthy interview, Worthington also revealed she first met the Avatar star at Central Park (yes, that sounds like the start of a Woody Allen rom-com).
โWe were both at a festival in Central Park in New York. I was there for a Cotton On event, and he was there with a few of his friendsโฆhe was with Butler. Whatโs his first name? Gerard Butler.โ
According to Worthington, the pair clicked right away.
โI remember I had a house here in Sydney in the Eastern Suburbs, and my mum was over helping me cleanโฆ I said โMum, Iโm going to get marriedโ and she said โWhat? Youโve just met the guy,โ she joked.
The mother-of-two also explained how she and the actor settled on the names of their children, Racer and Rocket Zot, reports News Corp.
โI donโt know, I just love Racer, I just thought it was a really cool name and Sam liked it too,โ she said. โThere was loads of names. I loved the name Jet but I couldnโt really have a Rocket and a Jet.โ
She continued: โWe didnโt know it was going to be a boy. Well the first time we didnโt (find out) and the second timeโฆ thereโs not many surprises so I thought letโs just keep it a secret.
โTheyโre both happy and healthy babies โ theyโre really good boys.โ
Racer is now six-months-old, while Rocket Zot was born in March, 2015.
Since touching down in Sydney on Thursday, the modelโs busy schedule has included a visit to the factory where her bronzing and tanning line The Base is produced.
Worthington shared a snap on Instagram showing her testing products and swapping high fashion for a high-vis vest and hairnet.
