Are MAFS 2026’s Alissa And David Still Together?

Will they last?

Despite an awkward start at the altar, Alissa Fay and David Momoh emerged as one of the steadier couples in this year’s Married At First Sight experiment.

While other relationships have been swept up in the show’s usual waves of drama, Alissa and David have kept things comparatively calm, building what appears to be a genuine connection. That was, until the final episodes.

Now, as the show comes to an end, fans are asking the big question: are David and Alissa still together?

Are David And Alissa Still Together After MAFS?

Based on recent interviews and reports, it appears David and Alissa are no longer together.

While the pair showed strong compatibility throughout much of the experiment, cracks have started to show off-screen. Alissa recently hinted at tension during a candid radio interview, where she suggested David may have received a “good edit” on the show — raising eyebrows among viewers.

In the final days of the experiment, a major turning point came during the Alternate Matches task — and it may explain why fans are now asking: are David and Alissa still together?

The exercise triggered a significant argument between the couple, ultimately leading both of them to remove their wedding rings — a symbolic moment that signalled just how strained things had become.

Determined to fix things, David made an emotional return to the final Dinner Party, hoping to win Alissa back.

“I’m here tonight because I didn’t give up on love, I didn’t give up on her, I love this woman,” he said, in a heartfelt moment that saw him place Alissa’s ring back on her finger.

But despite the grand gesture, the damage had already been done.

Alissa’s response made it clear that her feelings had shifted.

“To take your ring off, that is a red flag for me, that’s toxic. My feelings have changed towards you and you just have to go at my pace right now.”

Since filming wrapped, multiple reports have pointed toward a messy split, with sources claiming their relationship didn’t last long in the real world. According to Woman’s Day, Alissa has moved on with Nathan Ryles, of Ninja Warrior fame.

“She’s besotted with him,” a source told the publication.

“She’s even calling him her soulmate. It’s the worst-kept secret in Adelaide.”

What Happened At David & Alissa’s Wedding?

Their wedding day almost took a dramatic turn. After meeting David for the first time at the altar, Alissa shocked both her groom and the guests when she suddenly declared she didn’t think she could go through with the ceremony.

A stunned David said he understood if she wanted to walk away, only for Alissa to quickly clarify that she would marry him, but only if he first got down on one knee and proposed.

The unexpected request left David momentarily speechless. At first he thought she might be joking or testing him, but after a brief pause he agreed, dropping to one knee and proposing in front of their families and friends.

At the reception, some of David’s friends admitted they were unsure whether Alissa would be the right match for him. Reflecting on what had happened at the altar, David later acknowledged he had briefly wondered whether the request was meant to see if he would be a “walkover”. Still, he chose to keep an open mind and give the relationship a chance.

And thank God he did! As the experiment progressed, the couple began to settle into their dynamic. Bonding over shared values and similar upbringings, they grew increasingly comfortable with one another.

During their first Commitment Ceremony, both spoke positively about the match. Alissa said they had a lot in common, while David noted that the wedding moment had revealed how direct and honest she could be.

Revelations Week, which proved challenging for several other couples, only brought Alissa and David closer. When discussing each other with the other brides and grooms, both highlighted strong communication, honesty and shared family values. Alissa did admit David once called her a “drama queen” during a difficult day, but overall their reflections remained largely positive.

Alissa has also found herself at the centre of tension with several of the other brides, particularly Bec, Brook and Gia, who have clashed with her throughout the experiment. Through it all, David has remained firmly in her corner and has consistently defended her amid the group drama.
