Which MAFS 2026 Couples Are Still Together After Final Vows?

Will true love prevail?
Loading the player...

Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2026 has arrived, once again positioning itself as Australia’s most reliably chaotic experiment in modern romance.

The premise, as ever, is deceptively simple: can love be engineered, can intimacy be accelerated, and can either survive the pressure cooker of reality television?

Within minutes of episode one, the tone is set: a groom already emerging as the season’s villain; a prank that fails to land; brides who feel destined for future collision at the dinner parties. The spectacle is loud, messy and engineered for friction – and frankly, we eat it up.

Still, beneath the anarchy, the show insists it is about something more earnest. Connection, if you will — the idea that romance might take root in a format designed to stress-test it in public.

With that in mind, and setting aside the performative blow-ups, we’ve pulled together a clear-eyed snapshot of where each relationship actually stands. Several couples have buckled under the pressure of the experiment’s more provocative tasks, with the ‘alternative matches’ challenge proving a turning point for even the season’s strongest pairings.

Off-screen, the drama has been just as relentless. The rumour mill hit peak velocity with one runaway bride announcing she was both engaged and pregnant mid-season, to her ex, no less.

With Final Vows done and dusted, we’ve been keeping close tabs on which Married At First Sight 2026 couples are still together — at least for now.

Which Married At First Sight 2026 Couples Are Still Together?

Are Chris & Sam Still Together?

No

They started strong but any lingering hope for Married At First Sight’s once-promising pair has disappeared. After weeks of growing close, including taking their relationship to the next level, tensions erupted at a Dinner Party when Sam felt his feelings were being dismissed.

The fallout carried into the Commitment Ceremony, where Chris wrote “leave”, blindsiding Sam, who had chosen “stay” in hopes of repairing things. Speaking to Pedestrian TV, Sam admitted he was shocked, later calling Chris’ decision “cowardly” and suggesting his feelings had shifted long before the argument.

During a painfully awkward Homestays week, the two called things off with Sam telling Chris that his feelings “were pretty gone” and that he “can’t see this working”.

Are Stella & Filip Still Together?

Sure are!

“She’s a bombshell, she’s hot as!” Filip proudly declared after seeing his new wife. The pair quickly bonded over shared hobbies, but the mood shifted slightly when Stella’s friends raised concerns that the carpenter and life coach might be using the experiment to promote his YouTube channel, which he mentioned in his vows.

The couple persevered, though, and became not only the season’s strongest pairing, but a fully-fledged husband-and-wife-to-be. That’s right, during their Final Vows Filip got on one knee and proposed to Stella. Naturally, she said yes.

Loved up, Stella and Filip entered the reunion as an engaged couple and are still very much in love.

Sharing a series of photos on Instagram, Stella reflected on their relationship, writing: “We came in ready to love bravely…We are leaving with the love we were seeking in this lifetime ❤️”

Julia and Grayson MAFS

Are Julia & Grayson Still Together?

No.

Wed in front of the iconic Sydney Opera House, these two were initially a hit. Between whispered reassurances and wide-eyed optimism, the chemistry looked promising on paper.

Following their wedding, however, Julia and Grayson seriously lacked chemistry, with Grayson lamenting that only Julia’s needs are being met. They have both since left the show, with Julia since spotted with her new girlfriend, Sasha.

Are Rebecca & Steve Still Together?

No

These two seemed unlikely to go the distance from the start. Rebecca was instantly smitten, and Steve, a devoted dad to four daughters, seemed equally taken, loud laugh and all.

Fast forward a few weeks and the cracks were hard to ignore. The pair appeared fundamentally incompatible, with Steve labelling Rebecca “obnoxious” and “crude.”

During Intimacy Week, Rebecca returned home with lingerie she had bought in the hope of reconnecting and feeling desired. Steve, visibly uncomfortable, declined the moment with an uncomfortable “I’d rather not”, crystallising how misaligned their expectations and emotional rhythms became.

At their last commitment ceremony, the experts pressed Steve on whether he had worked on the selfish tendencies he acknowledged earlier in the experiment. He denied any wrongdoing, and the couple chose to leave.

Brook and Chris MAFS

Are Brook & Chris Still Together?

No

Dubbed the season’s biggest sceptic, groom Chris Nield arrived on MAFS ready to ruffle feathers, openly doubting the experiment and listing blunt turn-offs.

Paired with model Brook Crompton, a self-described strong woman with a bruised dating history, their wedding was immediately tense, marked by awkward first impressions and Brooke not wanting to kiss him at the alter. He later tells a producer that “he hates working for it.”

Although the experiment isn’t over, Brook announced on Monday she is engaged and expecting a baby with her ex partner who she reunited with after leaving MAFS. Safe to say, she is not still with Chris.

Bec and Danny MAFS

Are Bec & Danny Still Together?

No

Fresh from calling off her own wedding, Bec Zacharia entered MAFS cautiously, matched with London-born real estate agent Danny Hewitt. While they initially bonded over humour, his jokey vows and stripper friends rattled her confidence.

Despite early doubts, the pair seemed to find their footing, sharing a string of tender moments, with Bec even confessing she loves Danny.

Coming into Final Vows, it was unclear where the couple would land – a sentiment that was made clear when they revealed they were on very different pages. While Bec shared heartfelt words about how much she wanted to keep her groom in her life, Danny didn’t feel the same and broke things off.

Gia and Scott MAFS

Are Gia & Scott Still Together?

No

She may be one of the season’s more polarising brides, but Gia Fleur’s wedding to Scott McCristal was unexpectedly wholesome.

Despite her fears that Scott might struggle with the idea of her having children, he embraced the role of stepfather wholeheartedly.

While they have been one of the stronger couples of the 2026 season, Gia recently told Daily Mail Australia she is “so in love” with ex-reality star Alan Wallace. Safe to say Scott is no longer in the picture.

Mel & Luke MAFS

Are Mel & Luke Still Together?

No

Mel Akbay and Luke Fourniotis looked perfect on paper, but their wedding set off early alarm bells. Luke arrived late, leaving Mel standing alone at the altar, then proceeded to chew gum through her vows. It was not exactly marital bliss.

After a run of painfully awkward encounters, Mel has made a small but notable effort to turn things around, even managing a three minute hug and, surprisingly, enjoying it!

Ultimately, though, the spark simply was not there. The pair later agreed they were better off going their separate ways and chose to leave the experiment.

MAFS Rachel and Steven 2026

Are Rachel & Steven Still Together?

Nope

We were seriously rooting for Rachel and Steven. Their wedding started on shaky ground, with Rachel’s nervous laughter filling the gaps, but it ended on a high, thanks to a compliment from Steven that felt both sincere and well earned.

Things briefly unravelled when Steven hesitated to kiss her, citing a lack of chemistry. Awkward, yes, but their willingness to actually talk it through has become their greatest strength.

Since then, it was clear that intimacy doesn’t come easily to Steven, but they made a genuine effort to meet each other halfway. Even as their progress became the punchline of the retreat, courtesy of Bec, Rachel and Steven quietly continued to build something that feels real.

In the Final Vows, the couple both chose to stay together. However, insider sources revealed to Now To Love that the relationship fell apart just days after leaving the show.

“They broke up a week later,” the source said, ““It was ultimately Steven’s decision. He basically told her he didn’t have the time to really get to know her…”

This proved to be true when the couple revealed during the reunion that Steven hadn’t made the relationship a priority after leaving the show, instead focusing on work and “getting back on his feet”.

It was clear Rachel was willing to try while the same couldn’t be said for Steven. At the pressing of MAFS expert John Aiken, Steven admitted it was a ‘no’ to moving forward with their relationship.

MAFS David and Alissa 2026

Are Alissa & David Still Together?

No

When paediatric nurse and social media manager Alissa met David, a former rapper turned e-commerce manager, at the altar, she opened with a prank that doubled as a test, asking him to propose before their televised nuptials had even begun.

He hesitated and the result was a prolonged, public standoff that instantly framed them as incompatible.

Since then, though, the energy drastically shifted. Away from the theatrics of their first meeting, Alissa and David settled into an easy rhythm, and, against early expectations, they both seemed genuinely smitten.

As the final weeks unfolded, however, cracks have begun to show. Both dramatically removed their wedding rings, with tensions escalating after the ‘alternative matches’ task. When it was revealed the couples would watch how their partners behaved, David was unsettled by Alissa’s approach to getting to know her match, particularly given the strain already placed on their relationship during Homestays Week.

She also mentioned in a recent radio interview with SAFM Adelaide that not everything is as it seems. When asked who received a “good edit”, suggesting their on-screen persona was more flattering than reality, she named David.

While the couple did make it to Final Vows, it became a dramatic moment which saw David say his piece before walking out on Alissa for good.
