Tom Holland’s Sweet Nickname For Zendaya Is Their Cutest Press Tour Moment Yet

There are few press tours more anticipated than one starring newlyweds Tom Holland and Zendaya.

The couple kicked off the Spider-Man: Brand New Day promotional circuit in Madrid last week, delivering coordinated designer looks with Zendaya in a fringed Christian Cowan strapless gown, while Holland opted for Prada suiting.

For the Madrid photocall, Zendaya and long-time image architect Law Roach chose an ethereal red gown by Spanish designer Ernesto Naranjo, which opened the designer’s Autumn/Winter 2026 runway show.

The coordinated dressing continued in Amsterdam, where Holland stepped out in a Thom Browne suit while Zendaya wore a contemporary Louis Vuitton look comprising a red leather skirt and an embroidered sharp-shouldered top with dramatic coattails.

In Berlin, the pair leaned fully into Americana, embracing varsity references, plaid and denim. As per Holland’s stylist, Crystalle Cox, his look was a subtle nod to his Queens-born character, Peter Parker.

However, it was their latest stop in Rome which delivered our favourite moment yet. Earlier in the day, Holland wore a custom Balenciaga suit layered with button-down shirts, while Zendaya coordinated in a sparkling red-and-blue Versace ensemble.

For the evening premiere, however, she turned to the Giorgio Armani archives, selecting a sheer gown from the house’s Spring 1990 collection. Delicately traced with pearl beadwork in the shape of a spider’s web and adorned with amber and chocolate-hued beaded spiders, the look offered an exquisitely literal tribute to the webslinger franchise.

The premiere also produced one particularly sweet off-camera moment. While speaking to reporters, Holland called out to his wife using her middle name, “Maree”, rather than “Zendaya” or the nickname “Z”, which he has previously used publicly.

“What’s the name of that place?” he asked, referring to where they planned to visit after the event.

“Giolitti’s,” Zendaya replied before adding, “That’s where we’re going after this.”
